What should I bring with me to my first appointment?

Please bring any relevant medical information, including GP details and a list of medications you are currently taking. If you have previous dental records or X-rays, these can also be helpful but they are not essential.

How long will my first visit take?

Your first appointment usually lasts around 30-45 minutes. This allows us plenty of time to carry out a thorough examination, discuss your dental history and answer any questions you may have without feeling rushed.

Will you ask if I have any dental concerns or symptoms?

Yes, absolutely. We encourage all new patients to let us know about any concerns, symptoms, or areas they are unhappy with, whether it’s discomfort, appearance or something you’ve been putting off. Your appointment is very much a two-way conversation.

I feel anxious about visiting the dentist, can you help?

You’re not alone. Many patients feel nervous about dental visits. Our team is experienced in caring for anxious patients, and we always take a calm, gentle and understanding approach.
We’ll explain everything before we do it, go at your pace and can discuss options to help you feel more relaxed during your appointment.

How often will I need to come back?

This depends on your individual oral health needs. For most patients, we recommend routine check-ups and hygiene visits every six months, although some may benefit from more frequent visits. We will always advise you on what is best for your long-term dental health.
